Eau Claire, despite being a college city, is actually a great place for families and kids to spend their time! There are many interesting places to visit. If you are looking for a less expensive or more natural experience, feel free to bring along some inner tubes and float down the Chippewa River on a bright summer day. Eau Claire offers many park areas, including Mount Simon Park and Big Falls Park. Also, feel free to take advantage of the many bike and hiking trials in the city.
If sports is something your family is into, summer time and early fall offers the Eau Claire Express baseball team, a part of the Northwoods League, which plays games almost daily at Carson Park.
